Hartwell & Vale Estate Agents Ltd ("we", "us") is the data controller for personal information collected through this website and in the course of providing estate agency and lettings services.

What we collect and why

Contact details and enquiry content when you submit a form (to respond to you); property and tenancy information when you instruct us (to perform the contract); identity documents where the law requires checks (right to rent, anti-money laundering); and account data such as saved properties and searches when you register (to provide those features).

Legal bases

Performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and legitimate interests in running and improving our services. Marketing emails are sent only with your consent and every one includes an unsubscribe link.

Sharing

We share data only where the transaction requires it (for example with solicitors, referencing providers, deposit schemes and contractors) or where the law compels it. We do not sell personal data.

Retention and your rights

We keep records only as long as the relationship and statute require. You may request access, correction or erasure of your data, and you can delete your website account yourself from the account settings page. Complaints can be raised with the ICO (ico.org.uk).
